About - See The Affect

Mission

Following Hurricane Helene, I began documenting the impact and recovery from the storm, posting primarily on the YouTube channel @DominicTaverniti. The media and documentation that’s been published is intended for informational purposes. It was created with an to give a local’s perspective on our efforts to get back to business and revitalize our economy.

Immediately following the storm, it was difficult to find detailed and objective reports. So I started filming, researching and reporting in a style that would educate the viewer and keep them oriented, and hopefully provide enough detail to leave the audience with more answers than questions.

My goal is to continue documenting the recovery and transformation of our communities in the broader Western North Carolina region well into the future. Over time, I expect the type and nature of content to evolve as our situation changes. Stay tuned.
