About This Project

Hurricane Helene swept through Western North Carolina on September 27, 2024.  The breadth and magnitude of the damage from the storm was beyond everyone’s expectations.  The path to rebuilding and revitalizing our communities will be a long one, with many reinventing themselves in the process.  This project is intended to document our communities’ ongoing efforts, and to highlight the affect of a resilient and hopeful spirit.

Thank you for your thoughtful and thorough coverage of our property. We have learned much more than we expected, and now have documented evidence needed for insurance and state inquiries.
